DXpedition 2027 - the world's #1 most-needed silence

3Y0-NIL - Bouvet Island

QRV nothing, QSX nothing, up 5 to nothing. A team of zero operators has landed on the planet's most remote nothing to put the rarest entity on the air in FT-0. If you can hear us, you are on the wrong mode.

OPERATING SPLIT. We are listening up 0 kHz. DO NOT transmit on our frequency - it is the same as every other frequency. Please observe good pileup discipline: call, and then, as always, do not.

The pileup is enormous and completely silent. Every caller is worked the instant they call, because there is nothing to copy and therefore nothing to get wrong. The DX is always listening. That is the problem.

Band / Mode Matrix

Every slot is filled

Green means worked and confirmed. There are no unfilled slots, because a slot for nothing is filled the moment it exists.

BandCWSSBFT-0Notes

P5 / North Korea works us on every slot too. It is, counter-intuitively, our easiest path: their silence and ours are identical, and neither government objects to nothing.

Pilot Station Bulletin

Updates from the team

Day 0Team assembled at the dock. Nobody boarded. Landing achieved by not going. All antennas up (they are the same antenna, and it is nothing).
Day 0Generator will not be needed. Pileup already worked. Log stands at everyone.
Day 0Weather: irrelevant. Sea state: irrelevant. We are not there.
Day 0Working Europe, then Asia, then everyone, then the same everyone again. QSX nothing.
Day 0Teardown complete before setup. Team home safe, having never left. 73.
